These union carpenters and contractors build, erect and dismantle sidewalk bridging, scaffolds, overhead and associated protection, platforms, decks, staging, shanties and hoist specialty work. They also erect, install, remove and place building material hoists, rack and pinion gear. These professionals also work with personnel hoists and bucket hoisting equipment, including hoppers, panel towers, Chicago booms, concrete mixers, lumber hoists and collar clamps to keep rails from slipping.
