Redefining Campus Living: Union Carpentry at Weill Cornell

A state-of-the-art 16-story residence hall for students at Weill Cornell Medicine is under construction and advancing rapidly at 1393 York Avenue. Union contractors and carpenters with the New York City District Council of Carpenters have been working diligently to expand the main North campus and improve student life for the prestigious New York school. The latest union-made residence hall will house 272 students with amenities including study areas, a fitness center, a multipurpose activity court, and a backyard garden. This 128,205-square-foot addition to the medical college is another instance of the importance of union workers and the level of professionalism they bring to every project. #nyc #weillcornellmedicine #union #carpenters
