Harlem’s Studio Museum Advances with Union Carpentry Expertise

Construction is in full swing at the new six-story Studio Museum in Harlem at 144 West 125th Street. This project, led by union contractors and carpenters from the New York City District Council of Carpenters, is making incredible strides. The sleek black, 82,000-square-foot building is expertly crafted and will showcase artists of African descent and works inspired by Black culture locally, nationally, and internationally. The building will house over 2,000 objects and include a café, lecture halls, a roof deck, and retail space.
