Ritz Carlton NoMad

The NoMad Ritz Carlton at 1185 Broadway is another example of the impressive hospitality work completed by the New York City District Council of Carpenters and union contractors. One of the few skyscrapers in the area, this 580-foot-tall hotel features 250 guest rooms, state-of-the-art amenities, and a panoramic view of the city. This exciting new property was built using the following contractors: Pyramid Floor Covering, Inc., Roger & Sons Concrete, Inc., Prince Carpentry, La Strada General Contracting Corp., ModernfoldStyles, Inc., Safway Atlantic, and Mayrich Construction Corp.

Kosciuszko Bridge

Led by the Skanska-Kiewit-Ecco III joint venture on Phase 1 and Granite Construction Northeast on Phase 2, this $873 million project to replace the aging Kosciuszko Bridge that connects Brooklyn and Queens was completed on-budget and four years ahead of schedule with union carpenters and contractors. Other contractors on this job include Perfetto Contracting, Structural Services Inc., Case Foundation, and Hayward Baker.

Moynihan Train Hall

The newly completed Moynihan Train Hall has nearly doubled the existing Penn Station rail complex. This has given city commuters a new spacious and world-class transit hub. The 255,000 square foot train hall provides a direct connection to the Eighth Avenue Subway entrance and access to the 9th Avenue entrance for the first time. New York City continues to depend on the training, safety, and quality of union contractors and the New York City District Council of Carpenters. The MoMA - The Museum of Modern Art

The museum's new internal structure will feature a new 30,000 square foot gallery and a re-imagined layout meant to create a more accessible, inclusive experience for visitors. This $450 million project also extended the museum’s historic Bauhaus stairs and added a first-floor lounge. The museum’s makeover has been received very positively since it reopened in October of 2019. Union contractors Wood Pro 2 Installers, Sherland & Farrington, Inc., Consolidated Carpet, National Acoustics, and Kay & Sons worked on this renovation with The New York City District Council of Carpenters.
