InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel

This gem of east midtown Manhattan hotels recently underwent a $175 million renovation that recreates its original 1926 luster. Cord Contracting Co. and a team of union carpenters were proud to rebuild the lobby, ballrooms and 700 guest room interiors.

Kosciuszko Bridge

Led by the Skanska-Kiewit-Ecco III joint venture on Phase 1 and Granite Construction Northeast on Phase 2, this $873 million project to replace the aging Kosciuszko Bridge that connects Brooklyn and Queens was completed on-budget and four years ahead of schedule with union carpenters and contractors. Other contractors on this job include Perfetto Contracting, Structural Services Inc., Case Foundation, and Hayward Baker.

Bayonne Bridge Renovation

This ambitious union-built project elevated the bridge's deck by 64 feet to accommodate modern cargo ships. A brand-new bike and pedestrian lane were also added. Union carpenters worked with contractors Ferreira Construction Company, Skanska/Koch/Kiewit JV, and American Pile and Foundation on this critical upgrade to our region’s infrastructure.

MANHATTAN WEST

Brookfield Properties is developing this 7 million square feet mixed use project that includes offices, housing, a hotel, retail and a public plaza built over rail lines. Union carpenters and contractors are now working on this $4.5 billion project in the Hudson Yards neighborhood.
