Bayonne Bridge Renovation

This ambitious union-built project elevated the bridge’s deck by 64 feet to accommodate modern cargo ships. A brand-new bike and pedestrian lane were also added. Union carpenters worked with contractors Ferreira Construction Company, Skanska/Koch/Kiewit JV, and American Pile and Foundation on this critical upgrade to our region’s infrastructure.

InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel

This gem of east midtown Manhattan hotels recently underwent a $175 million renovation that recreates its original 1926 luster. Cord Contracting Co. and a team of union carpenters were proud to rebuild the lobby, ballrooms and 700 guest room interiors.

Ritz Carlton NoMad

The NoMad Ritz Carlton at 1185 Broadway is another example of the impressive hospitality work completed by the New York City District Council of Carpenters and union contractors. One of the few skyscrapers in the area, this 580-foot-tall hotel features 250 guest rooms, state-of-the-art amenities, and a panoramic view of the city. This exciting new property was built using the following contractors: Pyramid Floor Covering, Inc., Roger & Sons Concrete, Inc., Prince Carpentry, La Strada General Contracting Corp., ModernfoldStyles, Inc., Safway Atlantic, and Mayrich Construction Corp.

Tiffany & Co.

Tiffany & Co. is known for providing the highest quality, so it’s no surprise that the New York City District Council of Carpenters and union contractors were chosen to expand their iconic flagship store. Located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, the renovation includes new interiors as well as three new floors added over the original roofline. An expansive outdoor terrace that wraps around the structure will serve as an impressive event space.
