Anthony Madaio is the Regional Manager of the NYC District Council of Carpenters, a proud union leader whose career has been shaped by hard work, purpose, and a deep commitment to the membership. Anthony joined the NYC Carpenters Union in late 2001. He completed his four-year apprenticeship and spent nearly a decade on the tools, primarily with Donaldson.
In 2011, Anthony took the next step in leadership, becoming a council represanitive with the District Council. A decade later, he was elected President of Local 157, and in 2022, he was promoted to Regional Business Manager for New York City, where he’s been proudly serving ever since. In this role, Anthony leads a team of 30 dedicated Council Representatives, ensuring strong, effective representation across all job sites. He oversees critical matters including benefit administration, job site conditions, steward assignments, and grievance resolution. A key advisor to union leadership, he plays an instrumental role in securing work opportunities, enforcing contract standards.
Anthony is driven by a simple but powerful mission: to fight for good jobs, strong protections, and a better future for working people. He’s most proud of making a real impact in members’ lives by supporting, guiding, and celebrating their successes. A strong believer in solidarity, he encourages all members to get involved, show up, and feel the power of union unity.
